Today it is matter of fortune and pride for all of us that we are the followers of Sanatana Dharma only because of the relentless efforts of Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya, the incarnation of Lord Paramashiva. Twelve centuries back, the great Acharya spread the Upanishadic import of Advaita Vedanta touring all over the country. With great foresight, Sri Adi Shankaracharya established four Amnaya Peethams in the four directions of India. Among these, the Dakshinamanya Sri Sharada Peetham established at Sringeri has been adorned by an unbroken succession of illustrious Gurus right from the Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s direct disciple, Sri Sureshwaracharya. The life of each Acharya and their efforts to continue the mission of Sri Adi Shankaracharya are remarkable and unique. Every Acharya of the Peetham has been a perfound scholar, authority in Sanatana Dharma and Tapasvin of highest order. It is our good fortune that we are living during the time of the 36th Acharya of the Peetham, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Bharati Thirtha Mahaswamiji.On the landmark occasion of completion of 36 years of His Sannyasa and 22nd year of His regin as Peethadhipati of this Peetham the Shashtyabda Poorti was celebrated by releasing the souvenir “Jagadguru Darshanam” containing thousands of photos and Amrita Vani of Mahaswamiji.
